Southern Cross Austereo have made a move on 2Day FM Breakfast, taking out Rove & Sam and putting in Em Rusciano and Harley Breen. SCA say the decision came after Rove & Sam along with SCA executives took some time off over the Summer and after review, decided that the best route forward for all was to move their show into another time slot. That “slot”, will see Rove & Sam move into a nightly national show from 7pm-8pm across The Hit Network’s 43 metro and regional radio stations from Jan 30th.

i98FM is launching a new Breakfast show with Christie Hayes joining the team for 2017. As an actress and former Home and Away star, this will be Christie’s first radio gig. For seven years she played “Kirsty Sutherland” on Home and Away.

Long time Producer of Robin, Terry and Bo, Ruth De Glass has exited the show. Ruth was Breakfast Producer for 6 years and prior to that was Project Manager at ARN.

TV’s Jade Robran will join the On-Air team at Adelaide FIVEaa on Afternoons.

Dan Jones was in Townsville on Hot FM, then hit1047 Canberra has joined the team at i98FM Illawarra.

This weekend is Dan & Maz’ last show and the last time they will be heard on SCA. After being poached by SCA from Nova, and given a solid run on Drive around the country, they made the move to prime time Breakfast in 2015 on 2Day FM. After a short lived tilt, they made way for Rove & Sam with Dan & Maz sidelined to weekend Breakfast this year across the Hit Network. Dan & Maz dropped the news of them not returning on their socials.

Maria Foundas is heading to Hobart’s 7HO FM to join Mick Newell on Breakfast. Maria dropped the news this morning on The Morning Rush with Jon Vertigan. Maria leaves the Ace Network and joins Grant Broadcasters in Hobart on Breakfast with former MKR contestant Mick Newell, whose been on Breakfast with the station for a couple of years. Maria replaces Anna Dare who departed the station after comments around the recent Dreamworld tragedy.

For the last seven or so years, he has been the Network Head of Music Operations Manager and Program Manager, now Shaun Gough has been promoted to Content Director for Triple M Melbourne. Shaun ‘Van’ Gough takes over the reins from January 1. It means Mike Fitzpatrick steps out of the CD role for Melbourne to focus on the Triple M Network overall. Nova Sydney’s Greg Burns, will now also be heard in Melbourne on Nova 100. Greg’s arrival is just the start with Dan Cassin also joining the Melbourne line-up in the New Year from Sydney.
