More change for Melbourne’s KIIS 101.1

Staff Writer

Change is in the wind at Melbourne’s KIIS 101.1 with Joel Gelding making the move from on-air to producing.

After racking up 14 years as an announcer, including as daytime announcer on KIIS, Gelding has announced on Instagram that he’s stepping away from the announcing life.

The just turned 32-year-old has accepted the position as senior producer for the national Will & Woody  Drive show.

In his Insta post, he says he can’t wait to get started with the guys, who he calls “bloody hilarious”.

He also said thanks to the “amazing people” who helped him get to this point in his career.

It’s believed ARN has already begun advertising for his announcing position.

Gelding is a solid guy, worked with him in Darwin for a couple of years. Happy to see him keep going from strength to strength, he’ll knock this outta the park as he has with everything else he’s done in his career.
