Lehmo pops up at ABC Radio

After last year being controversially dumped by ARN, former Gold FM breakfast co-host Anthony ‘Lehmo’ Lehmann has found a new gig at the ABC.

The comedian has named as the new host of ABC Radio’s weekend AFL programs. He replaces veteran broadcaster Gerard Whateley, who has found a new home at 1116 SEN.

He’s promising a more light-hearted approach to the program, but says the big issues will still be covered and there’ll still be ‘serious’ footy-talk.

Last month Triple M announced Lehmo had been hired for a regular spot on The Hot Breakfast, as well as to appear on the Kennedy Molloy national Drive show.

It’s promising to be a busy winter for Lehmo, who’ll also be co-hosting Fox Footy’s new quiz show; The Beep Test.
