K&J Scoop: The perks of being Sydney’s #1 brekkie show

Staff Writer

When you’re the top dog at Australian breakfast radio, you don’t have to abide by all the rules.

Leah Costa, the latest contestant to exit The Bachelor, snubbed an interview with host Osher Gunsberg’s Hit105 breakfast show in favour of a chat with KIIS’ Kyle & Jackie O.

Ten reportedly barred Costa from the usual round of media interviews this morning. With that being said, KIIS managed to sidestep the restrictions, getting Costa on the phone to discuss her time on the show.

“I honestly don’t know,” Gunsberg told co-hosts Stav, Abby, & Matt about Ten’s decision to hold her back. “I asked that question last night myself. I wanted to get her on the show myself to talk about it.”

Speaking to Kyle & Jackie O from her home, Costa’s conversation with the pair began to turn into a Gunsberg roast session led chiefly by (guess who) Kyle, and Costa was quick to jump ship.

“I have no idea what you guys are talking about any more, I have to run,” Costa said moments before hanging up.

Gunsberg eventually managed to get Costa on the line later this morning, not holding back when asking about her whereabouts and why he’d been snubbed.

“I have no idea,” Costa replied. “I’ve got a pretty crazy schedule, everyone wants a piece of me.”
