Greg Burns departs Nova Mornings in Brisbane & Adelaide

Greg Burns‘ National Mornings show will no longer be broadcast on Nova 106.9 Brisbane and Nova 91.9 Adelaide as of Monday June 18, with both stations making a return to local programming.

It appears that Burns will continue to broadcast Mornings in Sydney and Melbourne, however this morning he was notably absent, with Troy Ellis filling in.

Jarrod Walsh is now hosting Mornings in Adelaide, while Nova Brisbane has brought Afternoons presenter Katie Mattin back to the Mornings slot that she previously occupied.

She vacates her current slot of 1pm-4pm which News Corp reports will remain locally produced, but as yet has not been filled.

According to Nova’s website, Cale Porter will be heard on Arvos on both stations, at least for the time being.

DC will continue to host Arvos in Sydney and Melbourne.

“I’ve missed interacting with (breakfast hosts) Ash, Kip, Luttsy and Susie, and am looking forward to the challenge of entertaining the bigger audience,” Mattin told News Corp.

“Also, doing school drop-off every morning is exhausting.”

She copped an banterous welcome from Ash, Kitty and Luttsy this morning…

Mattin is the wife of Nova 106.9 PD and national head of podcasting Jay Walkerden.

The news follows the roll-out of Nova’s new National workday music format ‘Nova’s Greatest Hits Workday’.
