International search launched to find world’s greatest voice-tracker

US-based website Voicetracker Hub has launched a worldwide search to find the finest voice tracking talent on earth.

Open to anyone across the globe, hopefuls are encouraged to submit their entries to the website by the end of September to take home the grand prize of US$500.

The judges include Aus based programmer and consultant Ronnie Stanton, Jon Earley MD of RCS UK, National BBC presenter Sam Walker and US radio legend Joseph Cristiano.

“In this new non-linear world, voice tracking is the new normal,” said Stanton.

“It can sound budget, piped in from elsewhere or it can be an art form of local and topical entertainment – bring on the art!”

Voicetracker Hub launched locally in January of this year after originating in the UK and US in 2017.

English presenter David Lloyd shared the trials and challenges that come with voice tracking, commenting, “For the inexperienced – VTing feels how recording a full show in real-time used to feel, but worse.

“In a sense, with VT, you can only put the listener first.”
