A-League Football returns to Crocmedia this weekend

Crocmedia’s Football Nation on 1116 SEN is set to return this weekend for the A-League match between Melbourne Victory and Perth Glory at AAMI Park (Saturday 13 January).

The coverage returns after a short hiatus for its 2017/18 season debut, with coverage set to focus on Melbourne City and Victory matches, as well as select other marquee games.

Crocmedia secured the exclusive FFA commercial rights in a six-year deal in 2017.

A number of ex-professional footballers have signed on for the coverage including former Socceroos and A-League players Archie Thompson, Clint Bolton and Josh Kennedy.

“The standard of football we have already seen in the A-League this season has risen from previous years,” said Kennedy.

“The foreigners coming in have been very impressive, so to be joining Football Nation and to help deliver these games into people’s homes, cars and offices is brilliant and I’m looking forward to seeing all 10 sides battle it out for a spot come finals time!”

“We’ve had incredible support from City and Victory in Melbourne and it is great to expose their premiership campaigns more broadly into Melbourne,” added Crocmedia executive director Chris Giannopoulos.

“On the back of great coverage into 6PR, FiveAA, 4BC, the Super Radio Network and foxsports.com.au, our first year as master rights holder is connecting fans more deeply than ever to the world game.”

Football Nation can also be streamed at the My Football Nation website and the official A-League site.

Following its return this Saturday for the Victory-Glory clash, 116 SEN will also cover the following day’s match as Adelaide United take on table-toppers Sydney FC.
