Grant Denyer parts with long time manager Titus Day

Former Assistant Editor

2DayFM Breakfast host Grant Denyer has dumped his manager Titus Day.

Day, who heads up talent management company 6 Degrees, revealed the news to the Daily Telegraph over the weekend, having been told by Grant and his wife Chezzi that he was no longer required.

“Grant and Chezzi came to see me this week and told me that they were terminating my management agreement,” Day said.

Day had stuck with Denyer through some hard times down the years, coming out the other side to negotiate his deal to host Family Feud, and later his current Breakfast gig with 2DayFM.

Needless to say the news came as a shock.

“The reason they gave is they are ‘going to do some major house renovations and so don’t want to pay commissions on any of their deals.

“Obviously, given what we have been through together in the last eight years, that hurts. I took them from the bottom to the top and am immensely proud of the work my team and I have done.

“Nothing can change that and we will move on to bigger and better things.

“But I will be enforcing my legal rights and they will honour their agreements and be paying the commissions that are owed.”

Network Ten recently revealed a preview of Denyer’s new game show Game Of Games.

Denyer will also host the next season of Dancing With The Stars with WSFM’s Amanda Keller.

Makes me sad when I read stories like this – especially when the manager has revived someones career. Better hope those renovations are worth it and last a good decade then Grant…
