Imagine walking onto a stadium stage as the opening act for chart-topper Phil Collins.

That’s exactly what happened over the weekend when Craig ‘Huggy’ Huggins got to live the dream as DJ and crowd warmer at the music legend’s ‘Not Dead Yet: Live!’ tour of Australia.

Radio Today is told Huggy kept the gathering crowd entertained with his 1-hour DJ set, and another dream came true when he got to meet Collins backstage.

But Huggy isn’t the only Aussie radio jock to experience a roaring crowd of adoring fans.

97.3FM’s afternoon presenter Daniel Thomas also kicked off his year by opening for Collins’ show at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane in January.

Radio insiders who witnessed their gig tell us they were naturals, but won’t be giving up their day jobs just yet.

I was at the Saturday Melbourne concert and Huggy was fantastic. Even though it was stinking hot he got everyone up, dancing, clapping and singing. His moon-walk was hysterical, and it was great to see him playing vinyl!
