Former RTI lecturers haven’t given up teaching the art of voice overs

Following the recent closure of Melbourne’s Radio Training Institute, two RTI lecturers have stepped up to fill a void left by the radio school.

Cecelia Ramsdale and Andy Wells have joined forces to launch a standalone ‘Introduction to Voice Over’ course under the banner Voices of Tomorrow.

Wells says the course is designed for those who aren’t necessarily interested in a career in radio. It’s for those who may have been told ‘Hey, you’ve got a great voice’ but didn’t know where to go from there.

“We’re very upfront with people about how competitive the industry is and that no course will ever guarantee you work.

“However, after the ‘Intro Voice Over’ course, people will have a clearer understanding of how the industry works, the basic skills needed and the pathways to getting more experience.”

The course is run over two days over the weekend with the next scheduled for July 7 & 8.
