The duo first partnered in January 2011 as the Nova’s national Drive team before moving to Breakfast in September of that year, with this month marking 12 years on radio together.

During their time on air Fitzy & Wippa and the team have won multiple Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs) including last year’s ACRA for Best Syndicated Australian Program.

Joined by Sarah McGilvray, News Journalist Matt De Groot and Executive Producer Tom Ivey each morning, 2022 saw the team entertain listeners with everything from sending spaghetti into space to Wippa’s One Trick Wonder magic show.

This year Fitzy & Wippa will see the return of their favourite events, including their annual Married At First Sight dinner party, Backyard Cricket at Kirribilli House, and an annual attempt to break the world record for the biggest pub crawl.

Fitzy & Wippa’s first week back will include interviews with Margot Robbie, Sam Worthington and Edward Carmody, with plenty of chances to win tickets to Lewis CapaldiSam Smith and Elton John.

Looking back at the highlights over 12 years, listeners can relive The Best of Fitzy & Wippa, which airs from 6pm tonight on Nova.

Fitzy & Wippa can be heard from 6am-9am weekdays on Nova 96.9 and 6pm-7pm on the Nova Network around the country.
