First day nerves non-existent as Wil Anderson makes Triple M Melbourne debut

Staff Writer

Your first day at a new job is nerve-wrecking enough, without having to deal with a TV blunder at the same time – yet that’s exactly what happened to Wil Anderson this morning.

Making his debut with Triple M Melbourne’s Hot Breakfast team this morning, the comedian juggled his radio commitments with a TV appearance on The Today Show, only to have to clarify who his co-hosts were after Luke Darcy was mistakenly called “Lucy”.

Listen below as Wil recaps the events of this morning.

“Wil made a seamless debut on the Hot Breakfast this morning,” co-host Eddie McGuire told Radio Today.

“That he was able to stitch up Luke Darcy in the first half hour of the program shows just how on point he is with our show! Crossing live on the Today Show, promoting Gruen interviewing an old hero of his in Ben Elton he was very much at home.

“Both Luke and I enjoyed his company and we had a great show. Everyone is very happy. With Mick Molloy moving to drive with Jane Kennedy we needed a genuine comedy superstar to step up. We got one.”
