Fifi’s off to have a baby, but not before a tattoo

As announced late last week here, Sophie Monk will be filling in for Fifi on the Today network drive show from Tuesday.

Yesterday afternoon, Fifi farewelled the show saying:

Fifi: As much as I did think I could stay on air and keep working until this baby decides to come into the world, I’ve actually discovered that pregnancy is quite physically taxing and I am struggling a little bit.

So, I have decided that I am going to take maternity leave – from now…

Jules: Can we at least finish the show?

Fifi: I did want to take this opportunity, as I take off on maternity leave – so I’ll be gone for a couple of months – and you’ll be joined by the gorgeous Sophie Monk. I guess it’s my last chance to say a big thank you to everyone who’s been along this journey with me through the pregnancy. I’ve had so many well wishes – on Facebook and Twitter – you’ve all been so kind and so lovely, and you’ve welcomed this baby into the world before it’s even arrived!

So thank you for all the love and support I’ve received!
