Familiar radio faces tapped to host AFL Footy Show

Nine is unveiling a whole new line-up for the AFL Footy Show as Eddie McGuire steps away from the show.

According to News Corp, former Gold 104.3 Breakfast show co-host Anthony ‘Lehmo’ Lehmann has been tapped to host the show and will be joined by Brendan ‘Fev’ Fevola from the Fox FM brekkie show.

Completing the line-up will be new Hit FM recruit and tennis star Dylan Alcott. There are also whispers former netballer-turned-AFLW star Sharni Layton may also join the boys at the desk.

As for McGuire, his production company will continue to produce the show which is expected shift between Wednesday and Thursday nights for much of the season.

That would see the show go up against the Triple M’s Mick Molloy Nova 100’sSam Pang on Seven’s The Front Bar.

Apparently current Gold 104.3 breakfast host Christian O’Connell did a screen test for the new look ‘footy show’ – imagine Christian and Lehmo on the same show, that would have made fascinating viewing.
