Double J is taking a revote on the Hottest 100 of 1998

Wrapping up a big weekend of countdowns, Double J took listeners through the Hottest 100 of 1998 on Monday.

That year saw some strong performances by the likes of Regurgitator, Powderfinger, You Am I and Jebediah.

But the biggest talking point, which surfaced again on Monday,  was that ‘Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)’ by The Offspring ended up taking out the top spot.

So Double J has announced that it’ll be giving listeners a chance to re-write history, with a revote for the Hottest 100 of 1998 now taking place.

“For a week, we’re throwing the polls open and allowing you the chance to crown an unofficial new winner.”

Voting is open now and closes at midday (AEDT) on Monday 4 February.
