DAB+ Survey 3 Results: Sydney’s The Edge Digital pulls further ahead, Coles Radio holds Melbourne & Brisbane
Survey day now means more than just the release of traditional radio ratings, with GfK also releasing the third DAB+ Survey results of 2018 today.
Sydney’s The Edge Digital racked up over 100,000 listeners in Survey 2, and has pulled even further ahead of the competition to hit a massive 137,000 listeners (+31,000) in Survey 3. Impressive results also came from EASY HITS who increased listenership by 32,000 and ABC Grandstand who were up 23,000. ABC Jazz also cracked the 100,000 mark.
The dominance of Coles Radio continued in Melbourne, remaining steady on 74,000 listeners (+5,000). In second place was The 90s iHeartRadio, who gained 16,000 listeners (apparently directly from stablemate 80s iHeartRadio who lost 17,000) to hit 64,000 in total.
Coles also claimed the #1 spot in Brisbane with 41,000 (+8,000), moving previous leader Smooth on 33,000. Double J claimed second place in the city on 35,000 listeners.
Adelaide DAB+ results remained steady, with a small rise from The 80s iHeartRadio and an even smaller drop from The 90s iHeartRadio seeing the stablemates finish equal top with 23,000 listenership.
Meantime Smooth rose to the summit of Perth’s ratings, with a decent gain of 12,000 taking them to 44,000 total cume. ABC Grandstand was second with 34,000 listeners.
Macquarie Radio completely gutted araldited 2UE listeners, destroying John and Garry was unforgivable.
I doubt that we will ever return, certainly not for sport!
