It was a fateful day in 2013 when ARN‘s iHeartRadio launched into the Australian media landscape, now in 2018, the company is celebrating its fifth birthday.

Over its time Down Under iHeartRadio has amassed over 1.2 million registered users, created Australia’s largest podcast library (1.4 million episodes and counting) and brought the likes of Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Halsey and more to our shores for exclusive performances.

“iHeartRadio Australia has managed to both adapt and thrive in an ever-changing audio landscape over the past five years,” ARN CEO Rob Atkinson said.

“The plans for the next five years will see iHeartRadio Australia be our key vehicle in delivering on ARN’s promise to create the future of audio entertainment in Australia.”

COO of iHeartRadio Australia Geraint Davies went on to thank the orbital players that have made the company’s integration into Australia a success.

“We are really only just getting started. I want to thank the huge team in the U.S. at iHeartMedia who go above and beyond to support us, and locally I want to thank the publishers and labels for all their support since day one of launch. In partnership with them, we have flourished in this very competitive music space.”

iHeartRadio’s US counterpart will hold their annual music festival this week in Las Vegas featuring performances from Fleetwood Mac, Jack White, Childish Gambino and more.

Aussie fans are encouraged to catch all live streamed action at the official iHeartRadio website.
