Camilla on Koffee break

Staff Writer

After hiring, and then firing, Camilla Severi from the Nova 106.9 Breakfast show within three months, DMG Radio have announced that she will move to a new role on digital brand 'Koffee'.

Severi moved from B105 to Nova in a 'competitive poach' late last year which ended badly after she was axed from the Breakfast show before the 2012 survey year began.

Given Severi remains under contract, and is likely to be for another 18 months, it seems that DMG have decided to utilise her rather than allowing the contract to run it's course with her on "garden leave".

Severi's new role with Koffee will include interviews and packaging. “Koffee’s music mix/programming is exactly my taste so I’m thrilled to have been offered this opportunity" Severi said.

Koffee is programmed by Brett Nossiter (right) and is regarded as one of the stronger formats of the purely digital stations in Australia.

The station won “Digital Station of the Year” at the 2011 Australian Commercial Radio Awards, and 'Best New Digital Format' at the 2010 awards.
