Bye-bye Hamish and Andy

Hamish Blake and Andy Lee are preparing for their final show on the Hit Network and they’re planning to go out with a bang.

They sign off for good (maybe) on Friday, with a final show at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena in front of a crowd of 7,000 listeners.

Peking Duk and Vance Joy will be performing along with Cool Boys and The Frontman – Hamish and Andy’s cover-band that performs just one song with a different lead singer.

They’ll take the stage with a special rendition of Queen’s We Are The Champions, which they’ve been rehearsing for a while.

As for the future, they haven’t ruled out a return to radio, although neither is saying ‘when’ that might be.

It might not be next year, but who knows what 2019 might hold for the comedy pair?

So why are Hamish and Andy finishing up one week before the end of ratings period ?
I hear they only did 32 weeks this year. Can that be true ? SCA most certainly didn’t get value out of them if that were the case. Poor form boys. Lost me as a fan. Im switching to Will and Woody next year.

“I’m switching to Will and Woody next year”… threat makes me giggle!
A bit like Coke receiving a complaint from someone threatening to switch to LA Cola.

I assume your basing your value assumptions on knowing a) what they were paid, b) what revenue they drove, c) what demo wins they achieved?
Don’t know? Then you don’t know the value.
