Brooke Boney replaces Richard Wilkins on Nine’s ‘Today’
Brooke Boney has secured a new gig, on Nine Network’s Today show.
Brooke recently called time on her two-year stint as news journalist for triple j‘s Ben and Liam Breakfast show.
The Muswellbrook-hailing journo will join Today as the entertainment correspondent, working closely with Richard Wilkins.
Wilkins steps away from his role on Today, but will remain Nine’s entertainment editor, reports SMH.
“I’m really thrilled to be joining the team and so excited to be working alongside Richard Wilkins,” said Brooke.
“He’s such a legend in the business. It’s such an exciting time to be joining Nine and am looking forward to learn from everyone on the Today team.
“As a young girl growing up in the country I watched Today so it’s really awesome to know it’ll be my new home.”
The full Today lineup is yet to be announced, with the changes coming in the wake of Karl Stefanovic‘s axing this week.
