Ben & Liam go nude for rural mental health awareness

triple j‘s Ben and Liam have thrown their akubras behind another great cause, going full ‘naked farmer’ for a good cause.

Known for their work raising awareness for mental health, the Breakfast duo were back at it again today, going nude to help raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service Mental Health Unit.

The boys were inspired by an Instagram page called The Naked Farmer run by a man named Ben Brooksby.

Ben, who grew up on a farm and recently learnt that farmers are more than twice as likely to take their own life as other professions, knew that an opportunity was to be had.

“Having grown up on a farm, I know lots of farmers who have and still are going through hard times,” he said.

“It’s one of the reasons why The Naked Farmer Instagram page resonated with me and I think it is a great way to start a conversation about mental health.”

The Royal Flying Doctor Service Mental Health Unit visits remote towns and properties to provide treatment, support and education on mental health.
