Ben & Liam get a call from Darren and Damo about the 2018 Budget

triple j Breakfast duo Ben and Liam were chatting about yesterday’s 2018 Budget this morning, when they received an unexpected call.

The phone call came from Darren in Dapto, the same Darren from viral internet cartoon Ciggy Butt Brain.

“I don’t know much about the budget, but the Government can print money right?” said Darren, who was outraged that “they can’t print more money and give it to me for buying more durries and drinks!”

Ben and Liam then asked what Darren would do if he was made PM, and Darren came up with innovative ideas like having the Dapto dog tracks 24 hours a day.

“This budget is a slap in the face for all good hard-working Dapto residents.”

Another Dapto resident who happened to be called Damo apparently just wanted his lighter back and didn’t feel any ill will towards Canberra, but thought he was calling Triple M.
