Australian radio’s most-played songs of 2018

AirCheck has revealed its Top 100 most-played songs on Australian radio this year, with Rudimental‘s ‘These Days’ coming out on top.

The track – featuring Jess Glynne, Macklemore and Dan Caplen – was spun 20,815 times throughout the year.

Its first play was on Fox FM in Melbourne on January 19, with 28 other stations spinning ‘These Days’ since then.

Nova 91.9 Adelaide contributed 1,558 instances, the most of any station. The total airplay equates to listening to the song on repeat for 50 days straight.

Australian Band 5SOS had the second most-spun track with ‘Youngblood’, with fellow Aussies Dean Lewis and Amy Shark making the Top 10.

AirCheck’s most played artist across the year was Ed Sheeran.

“It was a great year for local music,” said AirCheck client services executive Riarne Gale.

“Of the 4 million songs played on radio this year, almost 900,000 were Australian. Overall, Australian tracks received 49,755 more spins than last year”.
