Gemma Fordham: “Everyone has had an opinion on 2Day”

 

We talk to Group Content bosses on Survey #6, up next it’s SCA Hit Networks Gemma Fordham and Triple M Networks Mike Fitzpatrick.

As Gemma Fordham told us “Everyone has had an opinion on 2Day”. But again they saw some positive signs and it is even within striking distance of Triple M in Sydney. What have been some of the biggest issues that 2Day FM has faced this year and how does Gemma keep the team motivated?

While the Hit Network brands in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth are travelling fine, a change is coming for Hit107 Adelaide.

Meanwhile at Triple M, Fitzy is facing a few challenges in the Sydney Market. What drove the decision to cull Classic Rock Digital? “Triple M Classic Rock was cannibalising Triple M”.

We also talk about SCA’s plans to re-badge their entire regional network to be either Triple M or Hit – what does that mean?  “We’re not talking about networking workdays, networking breakfasts or putting all this Melbourne or Sydney or Brisbane content into the regional stations” – for both Fitzy and Gemma it’s all about Hyper Localism.
