ARN’s Deborah Clay takes home B&T Women In Media Award

Former Assistant Editor

Deborah Clay was among 21 recipients at last night’s B&T Women in Media Awards.

The ARN national news director took out the gong for Journalist/Producer.

Other award categories included Best Ad Campaign, Creative, Employer, Entrepreneur, Marketing, PR, Rising Star, Media Planner/Buyer, and Strategy, while Cummins&Partners’ Kirsty Muddle won the award for Woman of the Year.

B&T also revealed its Women In Media Power List for 2018, with NOVA Entertainment CEO Cathy O’Connor placing second behind Aimee Buchanan of OMG Australia.

“Equality, inclusion and optimism have been three things we have held dear at The Misfits since we founded the company four years ago,” said David Hovenden, editor-in-chief of B&T and owner of its publishing house, The Misfits

“Equality not only is the moral thing to do – it’s smart business practice.

“The same goes for inclusion. It’s only when we make a space where everyone’s voice is heard that we can make a society everyone is happy to be a part of.

“Finally, optimism stems from our belief that we’ve come a long way and moved forward in leaps and bounds. We’re committed to playing our part to ensure we continue to focus on what’s right within this industry to overcome what’s wrong.”
