ABC’s Travis Evans shares his production experiences on ‘Prodcast’

With a background in commercial radio and now forging a career at the ABC, Travis Evans is this week’s guest on Prodcast.

Evans began his radio at Mix 94.5 in Perth before moving to the other side of the country to work at Triple M Melbourne, Smooth 91.5 and Smooth 95.3.

He’s now applying his craft on triple j, Double J and triple j Unearthed and shares some unique insights with Prodcast creator and host Dom Evans.

“Trav has a wicked sense of humour and there are a lot of laughs in this one. He recalls making Michael Buble concert promos at Smooth one week then starting at triple j and having to make heavy metal promos the next.”

But the Prodcast producer says there’s more than just a few laughs in this episode.

“This is a really interesting chat because Trav has worked on both sides. He has a unique understanding and insight.

“He has one of the broadest skill sets I have come across. Listening to his work, it’s hard to believe it’s the same producer.”
