Fitzy & Wippa’s ‘Celebrity Screeners’ returns with Ben Fordham

Fitzy and Wippa have continued their new segment ‘Celebrity Screeners’, this time turning their attention to 2GB Drive presenter Ben Fordham.

The premise of the bit is simple. The Sydney Nova Breakfast duo call Aussie celebrities to see if they’ll take the call, whilst secretly watching to see what happens.

Fordham was being secretly filmed while buying a car, and on the first ring didn’t pick up.

“He didn’t even look at his phone!” said Wippa, as Fitzy laughed in the background.

He did answer on second ring, when the camera person revealed themselves to him as well.

“You’re on celebrity screenings mate, we’re testing our friendships,” said Wippa.

Fordham had obviously seen the previous edition of the segement, where Larry Emdur screened the call.

“I excused myself and I picked up,” he said. “I’m no Larry Emdur.”

Fitzy and Wippa air 6am – 9am weekdays on Nova 96.9 Sydney.
