1116 6MM Mandurah’s Mighty Mouse

Barring cyclonic winds, lightning, floods and fire, you’d think it would be pretty tough to take down a radio station.

Yeah, you’d think so.  But that was until a mouse took a wrong turn at the transmitter site for Mandurah radio station 1116 6MM.

At 9:07am yesterday morning, everything stopped and the technicians scrambled to work out what happened and to literally pick up the pieces.

The Mandurah station was technically ‘off air’ for much of the day, but continued to broadcast via its stream as the techs worked to put everything back together again.

These things happen and content manager John De Bellis has apologised to listeners, although some did mention it was the best Peter Rowe had sounded in a while.

Unfortunately, the mouse didn’t make it.
