Staff Writer

Jan 18 this year Nova 100’s new breakfast team of Chrissie, Sam & Browny launched in Melbourne and this morning they notched up their 100th show.

With over 200 guests in studio since they launched and a run of regulars including Tony Martin, Melbourne footy player Bernie Vince, commentator & former AFL player Brian Lake and Santo Cilauro –  Chrissie Swan, Sam Pang and Jonathan Brown have gone about making their own mark on Melbourne at breakfast.

NE Audio Producer Tim Mountford has crafted a highlights package  – take a listen.

Here’s a rundown of the Benchmarks Chrissy, Sam and Browny serve up each week (some ideas to nick):

  • Sam’s Diary – on Friday’s Sam reflects on the week that was
  • Good Cop Bad Cop – guests including Melbourne Storm Captain Cam Smith, comedian Dave O’Neil and Kris Smith have all been grilled by Browny (good cop) & Pang (bad cop).
  • Chrissie’s Cone of Silence – guests including former F1 driver David Coulthard, Manu Feildel, comedian Joel Creasey, The Real Housewives of Melbourne Gina Liano and Rob Mills reveal all to Chrissie in her cone of silence
  • Final Word (no holds barred wordsling) – Browny is a master at the game with 13 wins against celebrity guests including Grant Denyer, Ronnie Chieng, Shane Crawford, Kate Ritchie, Rebecca Maddern, George Calombaris, Commando Steve & model/DJ Dider Cohen.
  • Ask Browny – Browny attempts to answer listener questions including “Why is it called quick sand?”
  • Footy Mastermind – each week the AFL clubs put forward one of their players to determine who is Footy’s smartest player –  equal first so far are Richmond’s Alex Rance and Collingwood’s Jack Crisp and Port Adelaide’s Ollie Wines on 6 points, followed by Brisbane Lions Tom Rockliff on 5 points, Western Bulldogs’ Koby Stevens (4 points), St Kilda’s Josh Bruce (3 points) and then Carlton’s Matthew Wright, Essendon’s Adam Cooney & Bernie Vince from Melbourne.
  • Joke’s Aren’t Funny – listeners ring with jokes in attempt to make Sam laugh.
